Lemon Tree Hotels Hit by Multiple Tax Orders

Lemon Tree Hotels Limited has recently informed the stock exchange, NSE and BSE that its subsidiary company, Fleur Hotels Ltd, has received several tax orders and challans from various government authorities between April 1, 2025, and June 16, 2025. The disclosure has been made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015. Read more to know about the details of the tax orders received by the company.

Office of the Principal Commissioner of CGST

The Office of the Principal Commissioner of CGST, South Delhi Commissionerate issued an order of Rs 16,04,681 in tax, along with an interest and penalty amounting to Rs. 16,04,681 due to short tax payment between FY 2013 and 2017 and the mismatches between the sales ledger and ST-3 returns.

Municipal Corporation of Gurugram

The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram issued a Rs 25,000 challan for Lemon Tree Premier City Center due to garbage being collected by an unauthorised vendor and non-maintenance of an organic waste converter.

The authority has issued another challan of Rs. 25,000 to Red Fox and Lemon Tree Hotels for not following the guidelines issued for installing the Organic Waste Converter.

District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Nagercoil

This authority has issued an order directing the company to refund Rs 30,200 (along with 9% interest), pay Rs 50,000 compensation, and Rs 10,000 costs for service deficiency.

Excise and Taxation Department, Gurugram

This authority has issued a tax demand order of Rs 3,786 to the company for Lemon Tree Hotels Limited under the Haryana VAT Act, 2003, for the AY 2021-22.

The authority has also issued another tax order raising a demand of Rs 4,974 for Fleur Hotels Limited under section 15(3) of the Haryana Value Added Tax Act, 2003 (HVAT) for AY 2021-22.

The company has clarified that none of the orders have a material impact on its financials or operations, except for the extent of amounts mentioned.
